Mark Keller

SM #66

Hometown: Snohomish

Age: 62

Family: wife Linda---5 children

Occupation: Senior Project Manager

I began racing with Sid Olsen when we both worked for the City of Beaverton. Ran an MG Midget in I Production, moved to and MGB then a Datsun 2000 and a Z car. After moving to Colorado in 1975 I began racing Formula Fords and went through a pair of Winklemanns, a Van Dieman, A Swift DB3B, a couple of Crossles, and now have a Swift DB1 and a Crossle 32F in addition to my Miata.

How long I've been racing: 38 years

Favorite driver: Alain Prost

What I like best about racing miatas: I like racing in class in which the cars are equal and driver skill (or in my case lack thereof) makes the racing work. I don't like the mechanical side of car prep so Miata's are a good choice as they are relatively low maintenance. For the most part the other Miata drivers in the PNW are good solid and fair competitors who understand the concept of give and take, they generally make sure everyone has enough racing room to avoid substantial contact.

Crew: son Greg Keller, Ric Mapes, Les Clinger
